CareerCoach Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CareerCoach ("the app"), published by PocketAI Dev. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What CareerCoach is
CareerCoach is a career-coaching app that runs an AI coaching model directly on your device to help you analyze a job posting, work through a coaching conversation, and produce a draft resume. As of this release, the app covers Job Ingestion and the Resume Architect flow (chat, analysis, and resume preview/export) — mock HR screening and final-interview practice are not part of the current build. See the app's own store listing for what's currently shipped.
Not professional advice
CareerCoach's coaching output, analysis, and generated resume content are produced by an AI model and are provided for informational and drafting purposes only. They are not professional career counseling, legal, or employment advice, and we don't guarantee that any generated resume or coaching suggestion will get you an interview, an offer, or any other outcome. Review everything the app produces before relying on it or sending it to an employer — AI-generated text can be inaccurate, generic, or miss context only you know.
Your content
Job postings you upload or paste, your chat messages, and any resume content you enter or the app generates for you belong to you. As described in the Privacy Policy, none of it is transmitted to us or stored on any server we control — it's processed and stored entirely on your device. You're responsible for what you upload (e.g., not pasting someone else's confidential job posting without the right to do so) and for reviewing AI-generated content before you use it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to generate misleading resume content intended to deceive an employer (e.g., fabricated credentials, degrees, or work history you don't have).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what's permitted by applicable law.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law or infringes someone else's rights.
Ads
The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob, as described in the Privacy Policy. Ad content is served by Google and its partners, not curated by us; we aren't responsible for the content of individual ads.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the on-device model's output will be accurate or suitable for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketAI Dev is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any outcome related to a job application, interview, or employment decision made using content the app generated.
Age
CareerCoach is intended for adults using it for their own job search and is not directed at children. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, don't use the app without a parent or guardian's permission.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may update or discontinue the app or any feature at our discretion.
Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
